A robbery suspect was arrested by Atlanta police Thursday after allegedly grabbing a Buckhead bank customer’s money just as the customer was making a deposit.

The incident happened shortly before noon Thursday at the Wells Fargo branch in the 3200 block of Peachtree Road.

Atlanta police Sgt. Greg Lyon said the suspect, identified as 60-year-old Aden Harrison, was in line behind the victim, who was making a commercial deposit.

“The perpetrator snatched the deposit off the counter and made a run for it,” Lyon told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution in an email.

Harrison did not get far.

“The victim,” Lyon said, “chased after and fought with the perpetrator.”

Harrison was charged with robbery and battery.
