An Athens theater troupe is set to retake the stage Friday night for the first time since three of its members were gunned down by a University of Georgia marketing professor. Friday night will be the the first time the community group has performed on its stage since George Zinkhan shot and killed his wife Marie Bruce and fellow theater members Tom Tanner and Ben Teague while they were attending a reunion outside the theater on April 25. Zinkhan's body was found two weeks later.

Actors Shelley Marck and John Otwell. The show runs July 10-12 and 16-19 at Athens Community Theatre, 115 Grady Ave. in Athens. Shows begin at 8 p.m. Thursday through Saturday, and at 2:30 p.m. on Sundays.

Wednesday's rehearsal was the last without an audience for the Town and Gown Players. Receptions will be held after every performance this weekend.
