DEBBIE MCFARLAND, 42, is a photographer and owner of the Memory Cottage photography studio in Peachtree City.

SIGNATURE STYLE: "I am not sure if I really have a style. Can shabby chic be a clothing style?"

WHAT SHE'S WEARING: CAbi white pants, a sheer orange top from Lost River Clothing Co., Nine West sandals.

BEST FIND: "I remember purchasing approximately 10 skirts at the Banana Republic outlet store for $2 each -- it made my week."

FASHION PET PEEVE: "I don't look down on people because they wear white socks and sandals, but if I had to say a pet peeve, I would say it's when people think they have to spend a lot of money to be fashionable." Black suede boots from Nine West.

STANDOUT FASHION MOMENT: "When I turned 40 and realized that I didn't have to impress others anymore, but I could dress how I wanted."

FAVORITE STORES: T.J. Maxx, Anthropologie, Lizard Thicket in Peachtree City, consignment stores, eBay. McFarland enjoys wearing fun necklaces, as well as her grandmother's silver bracelet, which is one of her favorite pieces of jewelry.

FAVORITE LABELS: "Labels don't thrill me as much as the bargain, the color, the fabric."

ATLANTA STYLE is: "Metropolitan with a Southern flair." Cowboy boots are part of McFarland's "shabby chic" look.

MCFARLAND HAS a variety of belts and has worn them to the western-theme Cattle Barons' Ball, which raises money for the American Cancer Society.
