FRANCES REID: Dec. 9, 1914-Feb. 3, 2010: Actress who played Alice Horton on NBC's "Days of Our Lives" for 42 years.

JOHN MURTHA: June 17, 1932-Feb. 8, 2010: Democrat from Pennsylvania who served in the U.S. House of Representatives for 36 years. The former Marine criticized the United States' role in Iraq and called for troops to be pulled out, drawing much criticism. During the 1980s , he was embroiled in the Abscam investigation.

PHIL HARRIS: Dec. 19, 1956-Feb. 9, 2010: Boat captain who starred in Discovery Channel's "Deadliest Catch." He suffered a stroke while working in January and later died from it.

CHARLIE WILSON: June 1, 1933-Feb. 10, 2010: Former Congressman from Texas, best known for encouraging Congress to support the CIA's operations in Afghanistan, which supplied weapons, material and personnel to the Mujahadeen to fight the Soviet Union in the 1980s. His work on the campaign became the subject of the book, "Charlie Wilson's War," which was later made into a movie of the same name. Tom Hanks played Wilson.

ALEXANDER MCQUEEN: March 17, 1969-Feb. 11, 2010: British fashion designer, known as much for his line's fashion shows as for the clothes. He was found hanging in his closet.

DOUG FIEGER: Aug. 20, 1952-Feb. 14, 2010: Lead singer of The Knack, co-wrote the band's biggest hit, 1979's "My Sharona."

JEANNE HOLM: June 23, 1921-Feb. 15, 2010: The first female general in the U.S. Air Force and the first female two-star general in any branch of the U.S. armed services. During World War II she served at the the Women's Army Corps Training Center at Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.

KATHRYN GRAYSON: Feb. 9, 1922-Feb. 18, 2010: American singer and actress, had starring roles in "Anchors Aweigh," "Showboat," and "Kiss Me Kate." She was nominated for an Emmy as best actress in 1956 for GE Theater's "Shadow on the Heart." In the 1980s, she guest starred in several episodes of "Murder, She Wrote."

DADDY: 1994-Feb. 19, 2010: Daddy was a pit bull belonging to Cesar Millan, the Dog Whisperer. Millan credited the dog with helping change some public perception of the breed.

ALEXANDER HAIG: Dec. 2, 1924-Feb. 20, 2010: Former U.S. Army four-star general who served as President Reagan's Secretary of State and White House Chief of Staff under presidents Nixon and Ford. His helicopter was shot down in Vietnam. He later served as NATO's top commander. When Reagan was shot in 1981, Haig told White House reporters, "I am in control, here, in the White House."

ANDREW KOENIG: Aug. 17, 1968-February 2010: Actor, best known for playing Richard "Boner" Stabone on the 1980s sitcom "Growing Pains." Koenig was reported missing in mid-February and his body was found on Feb. 25. His father, Walter Koenig, who played Chekov in the original "Star Trek" series, said Andrew Koenig killed himself.
