Celebrating Nurses 2009

Celebrating Nurses is an annual event to honor outstanding nurses of Georgia. This year's event was held at Cobb Energy Centre on May 6, 2009.

Mary Lynne Berg of Sacred Journey Hospice receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Joanne Booker of St. Joseph's Hospital receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Rueleen Lavergne of Hemophilia of Georgia receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Donna Chambers of KSU Community Health Clinic receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Christine Miles of Piedmont Hospital receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Barbara Negelow of Ready Birth receives her Nursing Excellence award.

These special nurses from Georgia were honored for making a difference in the lives of their patients. Laura Hochwalt of Grady Memorial Hospital receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Chun (Maria) Seo of Athens Regional Medical Center receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Special guest speaker Vikki Locke from B98.5 FM and emcee Jovita Moore share a light moment at the Celebrating Nurses event. The event was held at the Cobb Energy Centre on Wednesday, May 6, 2009.

Tomas Vela of Embracing Hospice of Cumming receives his Nursing Excellence award. WSB-TV anchor Jovita Moore (left) hosted the event and ajcjobs account executive Rose Retter (right) provided gracious assistance.

Bonnie Shore of Emory University Hospital receives her Nursing Excellence award.

Vikki Locke shared her personal healthcare story and the positive impact nurses have had in her life. The audience really connected with her heartfelt words.
