050927 - ATLANTA/FULTON COUNTY -- So many hurricane evacuees and metro Atlantans sought jobs at a United Way job fair Tuesday, Sept. 27, 2005 at the Georgia World Congress Center that officials had to close the doors early. The 180 thousand square feet of space in convention hall B proved to be not enough. The United Way has scheduled another job fair next month to meet demand. United Way official Erin Steele said demand far exceeded expectations and capacity. More than 15,000 job seekers were in line by noon.
