Remember those notable figures who passed away in January 2011, including Jack LaLanne and Charlie Louvin.

JACK LALANNE (Sept. 26, 1914 - Jan. 23, 2011) was a fitness expert and TV personality. Throughout his long and colorful life, he was known as a bodybuilder, nutrition expert and fitness guru. LaLanne died at the age of 96 from pneumonia.

PETE POSTLETHWAITE (Feb. 7 1946 - Jan. 2, 2011) was a character actor born in England. Director Steven Spielberg gave the actor the ultimate honor, calling him, "the best actor in the world." He was nominated for an Academy Award for his performance in the movie, "In the Name of the Father." Postlethwaite died in England on Jan. 2, 2011 from pancreatic cancer.

SARGENT SHRIVER (Nov. 9, 1915 - Jan. 18, 2011) was a distinguished statesman and by marriage, member of the Kennedy family. With Eunice Kennedy, he had five children, including Maria Shriver. After Sargent was diagnosed with Alzheimer's in 2003, Maria wrote a children's book explaining the disease. Sargent Shriver died on January 18, 2011 in Bethesda, Maryland, at age 95.

CHARLIE LOUVIN (July 7, 1927 - January 26, 2011) was a country musician best known for his work as one of the Louvin Brothers. He was a longtime Grand Ole Opry member. The group was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2001. He died in Tennessee of pancreatic cancer on Jan. 26, 2011.

DAVID NELSON (Oct. 24, 1936 - Jan. 11, 2011) was an actor and director. He was the eldest son of Ozzie Nelson and Harriet Hilliard and appeared on the "The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet" along with the family. Nelson died of colon cancer on Jan. 11, 2011. He was 74.

ANNE FRANCIS (Sept. 16, 1930 - Jan. 2, 2011) was a film and television actress best known for her role in the classic science fiction film, "Forbidden Planet." Francis appeared on many TV shows, from "Twilight Zone" to "The Golden Girls." Francis was diagnosed with lung cancer in 2007 but ultimately died on Jan. 2, 2011, of complications of pancreatic cancer. She was 80.

DOC WILLIAMS (June 26, 1914 - Jan. 31, 2011) was a legendary country music band leader. Along with his wife Chickie, Doc was inducted into the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame in 2009. Williams died at home at the age of 96.
