A shooting inside a Pennsylvania movie theater Monday night left one man dead and another person wounded as police continue a manhunt for the suspect, authorities said.

The York County Coroner's Office on Tuesday identified the deceased victim as 22-year-old Andre White Jr., who was pronounced dead at 10:55 p.m. Monday after being rushed to York Hospital. The second shooting victim is a female who is expected to survive, police said.

Officers with the West Manchester Township Police Department say the shooting happened just after 10:15 p.m. Monday at a Regal Cinemas in a shopping complex.

When police arrived at the scene, they found two people down inside the theater with gunshot wounds.

Police said a lone gunman had already fled the scene.

Local news reports said theater employees were not inside the theater when the shooting happened.

Afterward, police evacuated the building and secured the scene.

Police said the shooting does not appear to be random or an “attempt at a mass casualty event.”

An autopsy is planned for Thursday, said York County Coroner Pam Gay. No additional details were available.
