Four Cobb County residents have been arrested and charged in the robbery and murder of a Smyrna man in February.

The body of Alexander Arcides Lara-Ayala, 35, of Smyrna was found in the area of Ivey Road near Vinings Vintage Road on Feb. 25.

Four people were arrested Thursday, two in the morning and two at night, Cobb County police Sgt. Dana Pierce said Friday in an emailed statement.

Jason Chester, 29, of Mableton; Chelsea Walker, 21, of Marietta; Christopher Brewster, 25, of Austell; and Kenneth Ransom, 39, of Austell, were each charged with felony murder, aggravated assault, armed robbery and violation of the Criminal Street Gang Act, Pierce said.

Brewster and Ransom also were charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, Pierce said.

According to criminal warrants in Cobb County magistrate court, Brewster shot and killed Lara-Ayala Feb. 23 after Walker lured him to the 6100 block of Blackhawk Trail in Mableton to rob him of his money. The warrants identified Brewster and Ransom as members of the gang, the Ghost Face Gangsters.

All four suspects are being held without bond at the Cobb County Adult Detention Center.
