Pedestrian killed after being hit near Union City

Authorities said the woman was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothes.

Jan 16, 2020A Fairburn woman was hit and killed near Union City on Thursday morning, authorities said.
The Georgia State Patrol said Gloria Muchison, 65, was in the roadway on Roosevelt Highway near Dixie Lake Road about 3 a.m. when a 2017 Nissan Sentra hit her.
She was not in a crosswalk and was wearing dark clothes in an area of the street that was unlit, the GSP said.
No charges have been filed against the driver of the Sentra.
