Gwinnett County police were investigating a shooting Saturday at an extended-stay motel that left a man dead.
The shooting happened before 1 p.m. at the InTown Suites in the 4100 block of U.S. 78 near Lilburn, according to Gwinnett police Sgt. Brian Doan.
Doan said the victim, a 50-year-old man, was taken to Gwinnett Medical Center, where he later died.
Doan told Channel 2 Action News that the victim had been washing his car in the parking lot of the motel, went into his room, and when he came back out there was an altercation and he was shot. Police had no suspects.
