An 8th-grader at north Fulton County’s Ridgeview Charter School is facing disciplinary action after he allegedly brought a loaded gun to class Monday.

Channel 2 Action News reported that another student found out about the gun and told a teacher, who alerted principal Lisa Hastey.

The gun was confiscated Monday afternoon, according to Channel 2.

Hastey sent a letter home to parents that said, in part, “the student has been removed from the school and will undergo a disciplinary tribunal hearing.”

The school is on South Trimble Road in Sandy Springs.
