MAINOR, Alma

Alma Louise Allen Mainor, 94, beloved wife of Robert Mainor Sr. M.D. died peacefully at home October 2, 2021. They were married for 72 years.

Born in Waverly Hall, Georgia to George Mack and Susie Carlisle Allen, she was one of eleven siblings. She graduated from Young Harris College with a degree in home economics and devoted her many talents to creating a loving home for Bob and her two children. She served her community as a lifelong member of Smyrna First United Methodist church and as a member of the Cobb County Women's Medical Auxiliary. Her gifts of caring, kindness and compassion reached beyond her own door to many neighbors, friends, and those in need.

She is survived by her two children Janet Mainor and Robert Mainor Jr., her granddaughters Katie Mainor and Jennifer Mainor, sister Sue Pratt, sister-in-law Ann McCranie and many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Saturday, October 9 from 2 to 4 at Carmichaels Funeral Home in Smyrna. A graveside service will be Sunday, October 10 at 2 PM at Daniell Cemetery in Smyrna.
