Walter Koscica, Sr., age 83, of Powder Springs, passed away on Sunday, November 7, 2021 in Austell, GA. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at 3:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel. Walt is survived by his wife Gail Koscica of Powder Springs, GA; daughters Tina Justice (Charles) of Powder Springs, GA., Debbie Dempsey (Todd) of Acworth, GA; son, Walter Koscica, Jr. of Euharley, GA; stepdaughters, Heather Brown (Josh) of Powder Springs, GA, and Angela Gonzalez (Al) of Seattle, WA; brother, Russell Koscica (Maryanne) of Cleveland, OH; and multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Walt leaves behind an amazing legacy. He served in the US Navy for 21 years and after he retired, he began working for Cobb County Water, he later retired from that position and worked part time as Security for WellStar Hospital. Walt was an avid bowler and was in the Bowling Hall of Fame. He loved to travel and collect odd and ends. He was an amazingly loving man, and his presence will be missed by many. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, between the hours of 1:00 PM and 3:00 PM at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Macland Chapel in Powder Springs, GA.
