Marie Owens Harris, age 95, of Stone Mountain, GA passed away on Thursday, October 7, 2021. She is survived by her loving son, Darron Harris (Deanna); granddaughters, Kelsey Wexel (Michael) and Kiley Harris; great-granddaughter, Olivia Wexel; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Jack Harris. Marie was born in Statham, GA where she attended Statham High School. She was a member Westminster Presbyterian Church and loved attending church, worshiping the Lord, and spending time with her church family. In 1945 Marie married the love of her life Jack Harris. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who appreciated her family and the quality time they spent together. Marie will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her. A funeral service honoring the life of Marie will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2021 at 3:00 PM at Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church, Lilburn, GA. Interment will follow at Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 9, 2021 from 5 PM-8 PM at Tom M. Wages Lawrenceville Chapel, 120 Scenic Hwy., Lawrenceville, GA 30046. Those desiring may make memorial donations to Westminster Presbyterian Church.
