ECHOLS, Bradwell "Brantley"

We regretfully announce the passing of B. Brantley Echols, at his home in Atlanta on August 25 after a brief battle with Covid-19. He was 59. He went quietly in he sleep.

Brantley was born in Atlanta to Ramon and Diane Echols on February 12, 1962, both are deceased.

Brantley attended The Galloway School, graduated from Northside High School and then went on to study Finance at Georgia State University. After graduating in 1984, Brantley began a 37-year career in Banking at First Atlanta, then Wachovia and finally at BB&T. He retired this Summer and planned to relocate with his deeply devoted wife, the former Kathryn Highberger and travel in search of exotic foods and excitement. With his International Banking career, he was a Member of Delta Airline's Million Mile Club and he loved his dog Rusty.

Brantley was known for many things; his association with The Salvation Army, The Boys & Girls Club and The City of Refuge., his love of hiking and exotic foods. As an uncle, Brantley set the standard. His niece and three nephews always had his support and joined him in his travels.

Brantley was preceded in death by his parents, Diane and Ramon Echols Sr. and his Aunt Judy Brantley Weston. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife Kathy Echols, sisters Lisa Hoff (Charles) and Claire Snider (Adam) and brother Ramon Echols; as well as niece Margaret Brantley Snider and nephews Adam Henry Snider and Charles Edward and Calum Brantley Hoff, all of the Atlanta area.

Family will receive friends from 11 AM till 1 PM for visitation. A Celebration of Life Service will be held 1 PM Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at HM Patterson Oglethorpe Chapel. Interment will be at Arlington Memorial Park.

Brantley was much loved and will be missed by all!

Eternal rest grant unto them, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon them. May the souls of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen.
