Nancy J. Cox, age 78, of Sandy Springs, Georgia, peacefully passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021.
Funeral services for Nancy will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Peachtree Corners Chapel of Crowell Brothers Funeral Homes & Crematory. Entombment will follow at Peachtree Memorial Park, Peachtree Corners, GA. The family will gather with friends on Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Nancy was born April 26, 1943 in Hazel Park, MI to the late Matthew and Ladja Kerr. Also, preceding Nancy in death was her brother, Richard Kerr of Duluth. She graduated from Michigan State University with a BS in Business. There, she met her husband of 54 years, Bill. After Bill's graduation from medical school, they moved to Norcross, Georgia and eventually Sandy Springs, GA, where they have lived ever since.
Nancy is survived by her loving husband, William Harold Cox; daughter, Susan Cox Bryant and husband, Michael; sons, Stephen Matthew Cox and wife Rubina, Gregory William Cox and wife Ashly; precious grandchildren, Cole Bryant (18), Hunter Bryant (16), Julie Cox (7), Ethan Cox (3), Jackson Cox (14), Wyatt Cox (10); as well as a host of extended family and close friends.
In her younger years, Nancy worked as an executive secretary for General Motors. Her favorite job, however, was raising her three children who she loved dearly. Nancy enjoyed shopping and going out to eat, especially with friends. She also loved to travel with Bill and friends, cruising all over the world. Her very favorite times were the moments she spent with her grandchildren and became affectionately known as Honey.
