John Ray Cox of Lilburn, GA and Peachtree City, GA passed away Sunday, September 5, 2021. John was a member of Evergreen Church in Peachtree City, GA and former member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Snellville, GA and Crossroads Presbyterian Church in Stone Mountain, GA. He served in the US Navy for 4 years and retired from Unisys Corp with 41 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Louise McLaughlin Cox; sons, John (fiancée JoBeth) and Jeff Cox (Holly); brothers, Paul and Jerry Cox; brother-in-law, Leon McLaughlin; nephews, David McLaughlin (Melissa) and Michael Cox; niece, Jennifer Cox; and many cousins. His first granddaughter is expected in November. Visitation will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 at 12:00 – 2:00 PM followed by 2:00 PM funeral service at Mowell Funeral Home, 200 Robinson Rd., Peachtree City, GA then burial at Westminster Memorial Gardens.
