CAMERON (LEE), Linda

Linda Lee Cameron, 76, of Sandy Springs, passed away on December 22, 2020.

Linda was born on November 4, 1944 to James and Esther Lee in Washington D.C. She grew up in Atlanta, where she attended The Lovett School. She earned a B.A. in English from Vanderbilt University, where she was the president of Kappa Delta Sorority.

She was a teacher for several years in both Atlanta and Nashville before retiring early to start a family. Throughout her life, she indulged her passions for sewing and travel. Later in life, she returned to the education system working in administration.

Linda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Lee and Lucynda Coker; her stepson and daughter-in-law, Colin and Mandi Cameron; her grandchildren Sawyer and Hayden Coker; and her step-grandchildren Andrew, Meredith, and Courtney Cameron. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Colin Cameron.

She was a loyal friend and treasured the many friendships made throughout her life, especially the tight circle of eight friends from high school and college with whom she shared a lifelong bond.

In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation in Linda's memory to a charity of your choosing. A private burial is planned. A public memorial service will be held later.
