BELLAMY, Bill J. "Gus"
Gus passed away peacefully in his home in Johns Creek, Georgia on September 23, 2021. Gus grew up in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, and was the son of RB and Sarah Bellamy. His Dad was a Myrtle Beach State Park Ranger. Gus spent many years working in the state park as a lifeguard and water safety instructor. He attended Coastal Carolina University and the University of South Carolina. Also, he was in the United States Navy and Navy Reserve. Gus met his wife Charner in Ocean Drive. After getting married, Gus and Charner moved to Atlanta, Georgia. In Atlanta, he had a highly successful career in computer software sales and marketing. He was an avid golfer and loved playing at Horseshoe Bend Country Club. Also, he enjoyed tennis, running, sailing, and going on long walks with his dog, Bobby Jones. Gus is survived by his beloved wife of over fifty years, Charner, his daughter, Michelle Blair and her husband, Christopher Blair, his granddaughter, Caroline Blair (baby girl), and his sister, Janice Keebler. A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
