The northbound lanes of I-75 in Clayton County have reopened following a fatal overnight pedestrian accident.

The pedestrian was struck by a tractor-trailer before 3 a.m. on I-75 north of Ga. 138.

Channel 2 Action News reported that the truck was hauling 15,000 pounds of furniture.

All northbound lanes remained blocked until just after 6 a.m.

Authorities forced northbound traffic off of the interstate and onto I-675 for more than three hours while the incident was investigated and cleared.
