A high school yearbook had to be recalled and changed after what is being called a "racist prank" was printed.
The Berkeley High School 2015 yearbook was pulled after a write up referred to minority students as "trash collectors of tomorrow."
The school's Black Student Union tweeted an image of the paragraph summary of the school's Academy of Medicine and Public Service, a college prep program.
The school's principal said in an email to students that it was supposed to read "innovators of tomorrow, "Huffington Post reported.
The distribution of the yearbooks was stopped, and the ones that had been passed out were collected. Corrected versions of the book will distributed to seniors for free, The Daily Californian reported.
The paper reported that the school's yearbook staff has taken responsibility for not catching the issue and is preparing an apology.
