Ivan Applin, 10, wanted to know one thing.
“Will they change it so I love Michigan instead of Ohio State,” he asked his mother Jennifer. Surgeons at the University of Michigan's CS Mott Children's hospital used a device to fix holes in Ivan’s heart earlier this month.
Jennifer told WTTE, Ivan told her he was concerned because, "it's my heart that picks what you love."
The docs must have done a great job, when Ivan woke up he was still a Buckeye fan. You can't blame him, Urban Myer's team has been picked to repeat as National Champions.
The boy’s adorable story went viral and proved to be valuable in another way.
Ivan was adopted, and he hopes all the attention may help him is a search for his biological siblings.
