16-year-old girl on boogie board bitten by shark off Florida beach

July 14, 2019A 16-year-old girl was boogie boarding Friday when she was bitten on her foot and ankle by a shark off a Florida beach, officials said.
The Nassau County Sheriff's Office said the girl was in the Atlantic Ocean when she was bitten, CNN reported. She was able to get away from it and return to the pool area at the resort where she was staying, CNN reported.
She was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and received several stitches, CNN reported.
