A tree-trimming job ended tragically in New York.

Justus Booze, 23, had been cutting down trees in Guilderland, New York, outside Albany when he got entangled in a tree grinding machine, CBS News reported.

It was his first day on the job, The Times Union reported.

One subcontracted employee told the paper, "I can't get it out of my head."

The man had been pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are investigating the accident and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration is also investigating.

OSHA recommends that companies supervise new employees to make sure they're operating the wood chippers safely, which usually work by feeding branches in by hand before rollers at the end grab the wood, pulling it into the equipment, The Times Union reported.
