A gesture by a Colorado woman toward a local police officer has gotten a lot of attention on social media.
It was an out-of-the-blue act of kindness at a Colorado police station Monday.
A woman walked into the Arvada Police Department with a special delivery: a hug.
Dispatchers said she was upset about the recent loss of officers around the country, and so her gesture was one of gratitude.
The hug was caught on camera and has since gone viral.
Chris Steiner, a 20-year-veteran, was the lucky recipient.
"Well, it feels good. Again, you know, these are the people we're out here to serve and protect every day," said Steiner.
The gesture has been getting plenty of "likes" on the Arvada Police Department's Facebook page.
