A woman in California jumped into her car to make sure seven service dogs in training were spared from a fast-moving wildfire.

Laura Allen packed the pups inside her car after the Canine Companions for Independence was evacuated because of the Kincade Fire, KCRA reported.

Allen said that the flames quickly surrounded the car, covering the vehicle with ash and blanketing the road with thick smoke.

Eventually, Allen and the seven dogs, valued at $50,000 each, got to Sacramento after leaving Santa Rosa, KCRA reported.
