A man shot video while he was rescuing his grandmother from flooding in Blythewood.
The video shows them holding onto a red cross as the water rushes around them.
The man's mother called him Sunday morning to tell him that his grandmother was trapped and needed help.
South Carolina has seen historic flooding and officials are warning residents in four coastal counties near two rising rivers to stay alert for possible evacuation orders.
Her car had gotten stuck near a church, next to the cross, so she held onto it until her grandson arrived.
She has a broken ankle, but she said she knows that God helped save her.
