Woman creates memento teddy bears to honor loved ones
By Cox Media Group National Content Desk
June 26, 2016The first teddy bear took Toni Reese about eight hours to make.
A parent asked her to make it from a loved one's clothes.
The special request sparked the Tea for Two Boutique legacy bears.
Each of Reese's bears is a special order.
Ordering a bear includes a heartfelt interview between Reese and the client.
"You miss this person that's gone. You miss them. So, I think she's helping people to deal with that," Karie Haney, who ordered 14 bears, told WFAA.
Reese uses old clothes and other sentimental fabrics to give each bear a signature look. She offers three customizable bear styles.
"There's no room for error," Reese told WFAA. "Yeah, there's pressure."
