A good Samaritan used a spare tow ball Thursday to break a car window and rescue a baby from blistering temperatures locked inside Thursday, police said.

"That baby's life was at stake," Rochell Steakley told KDFW"Minutes mattered."

Kimberly Rosario, 27, told police she forgot her child was in the car when she went inside a Target for an eye exam, according to WFAA.

The temperature inside the vehicle was 130 degrees.

Rosario was arrested and charged with abandoning and endangering a child, according to WFAA.

The child's age was not released.
