A man that police are calling a domestic terrorist opened fire at an Orlando, Florida, nightclub early Sunday, killing 50 and wounding 52.
Witnesses at Pulse Nightclub describe a chaotic, horrifying scene.
Club goer Christopher Hanson:
"You hear a bang, bang, you just think it's the music."
"One hundred and fifty feet in front of me, there (are) people being shot. The person next to me was shot."
"I don't know if it was that person's blood or my own blood on my shirt."
"You could just hear shooting and screaming and I had to drop down on the ground. I was crawling on my elbows."
"When I dropped, I was being stepped on… everybody was just running, trying to get out. They were just screaming, it was chaotic."
"I crawled my way out, and once I was able to see, I got up and crossed the street immediately. I just didn't know what else to do."
"Some other people were still stuck in there. (The police) moved us all away from the building because there was a bomb threat."
"I saw another woman with a bullet hole in her hand."
Club goer Tony Aguyien:
"I heard gunshots and everyone started running out, and so there's a guy that got shot. He's got blood all over his face and he was crying."
"I got scared because a lot of my friends were still inside. My roommate is still in there."
"(It was) just a regular Latino night. It's the same thing as every Saturday night. But tonight, I don't know what caused it."
Christine, mother of a man at the club when the shooting started:
"I haven't heard anything about his condition, where he is, if he's in the hospital, if he's still in the club. He hasn't called us, hasn't answered our texts."
"We know what he went in there with his boyfriend and two other friends, and (that) his boyfriend was shot, multiple shots, and was taken to the hospital early on."
"(It) must have been a shooting scene like that scene that was in that club in Paris, where they were just hell-bent on getting as many victims as they could."
"It's horrible not knowing, but I keep waiting to hear. I don't know how long it's going to take. How long does it take for, you know? Do the police, or does the hospital at least give me some idea of where he is?"
"I talked to a friend of the bartender, and he had been shot and he was waiting for surgery and he was texting his friend out here, telling her that there were 45 people shot."
"I don't know if somebody, if one shooter could go shoot 45 (people). He must have had a lot of rounds.
Rosalia Ramos, mother of a man at the club when the shooting started:
"My son's friend, she said that my son got shot."
"I grabbed my daughter and my other son (and) we came here first."
"Maybe he tried to run from those people and they got him too."
"I just called a few minutes ago and they say they don't have any details on any of the people they have in the hospital."
"(My son's friend) she's saying that my son got shot three times."
