Three winning Powerball tickets were sold at stores in California, Tennessee and Florida, ahead of Wednesday's $1.5 billion jackpot drawing, according to the organization that runs the lottery game.
The Multi-State Lottery Association did not identify the winners. The odds to win the highest jackpot in U.S. history were 1 in 292.2 million.

A winning ticket was also sold in Munford, Tennessee.
Officials did not immediately say where in Florida the state's winning ticket was sold.
The prize money will be split between the three jackpot winners.
Players won $2 million each in seven states, the Multi-State Lottery Association said: Arizona, Florida, Iowa, North Carolina, New Jersey, Tennessee and Texas. Players in 23 states won $1 million each.
Excluding the jackpot, Powerball officials said players won $273.9 million worth of prize money.
If someone matches all the winning numbers, the jackpot would be paid in annual payments over 29 years, or the winner could opt for a lump-sum payment of $930 million. Winners have to pay 39.6 percent of the prize in federal income taxes, in addition to any state taxes.
