The wedding is set.

The church. The reception. The color scheme and theme. Items for the registry.

Mikayala Baumgarten and Ben Foringer picked out and sent 88 invitations July 15.

Two weeks passed with no RSVPs returned for the September union.

"It's one month from the wedding and no one has gotten them," Baumgarten told WJW.

The couple said they used the right-size envelopes and proper postage.

"This is very unusual. To have wedding invitations delayed is just not the norm and we realize it's a great concern to the couple," David Van Allen, spokesman with the Post Office, told WJW. "We are in contact with Mikayla and we are scouring our facilities with the expectation of quickly finding the invitations."

The couple is continuing to finalize plans for their nuptials as the mystery of what happened to their invitations unfolds.

“The hardest part, I actually have had people say, 'Did we get cut from the wedding?'” Foringer told WJW. “I have to tell them, 'No, I promise, we still want you at the wedding; the invitations are in the mail. We just can’t find out where.'"
