An Indiana man is in custody after police say he crashed his girlfriend's car, then set fire to her house and danced on the roof.
According to WXIN-TV, Matthew Russ, 25, grabbed his girlfriend's car keys from her Indianapolis home Monday morning before crashing her car, police said. He then reportedly returned to the house and took a knife. Police said that when officers arrived at the scene, Russ was holding the knife while sitting in a chair in front of the home.
But the incident didn't end there.
Police said Russ spotted officers and fled into the house. His girlfriend then ran outside. Minutes later, smoke billowed from the home as Russ made his way onto the roof and danced – while cameras rolled.
Officers detained Russ after shooting him with rubber bullets and using a Taser on him, WXIN reports. He was taken to a nearby hospital as the Indianapolis Fire Department put out the blaze, which police believe Russ started.
