Licensed veterinarian Kristen Lindsey has lost her job after killing a cat with a bow and arrow, then posing with the arrow stuck through the head of the dead cat in a Facebook post. (Source: KBTX.com)
The post, which has since been removed, read “My first bow kill, lol. The only good feral tomcat is one with an arrow through it's head! Vet of the year award ... Gladly accepted."
Lindsey has also since been removed — from the Washington Animal Clinic where she practiced for two years.
And it turns out, the cat was not feral. It’s believed he was a 6-year-old cat named Tiger who disappeared Wednesday, the same day Lindsey posted her photo.
An animal rights group is offering a $7,500 reward for evidence “leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible” for killing Tiger.
Meanwhile, the Texas website that first posted the story said they had disabled the comments section after death threats were made against Lindsey.
