A hotel guest who was apparently upset over his debit card being declined multiple times didn't go the traditional route when someone is upset with a business.
He didn't go to the hotel's website and give it a bad review. He didn't go on Twitter to complain.
Instead, police said he climbed into his truck and drove through the hotel's front wall, straight into the lobby, CNN reported.
John Parsley was staying the Comfort Inn & Suites in Alva, Oklahoma, last week when his debit cart was declined. He asked the front desk worker to swipe it a second time and again it was declined. Parsley said there was enough money to cover his stay, so he left to get cash to pay for his stay.
He decided to spend a second night at the hotel. He card was declined again, and was told that he'd have to pay cash to cover the room.
Later, he got an email from his bank saying there was an authorization for $264 on his debit card, CNN reported.
"I explained to him that this was just a pre-authorization and not a charge, but he would not listen," hotel owner Rupal Kingson Christian said. "He asked that we void the authorization, which we did."
But that might not have been enough. Christian said he was still upset and threatened to drive his truck through the lobby.
When police arrived, an officer told Parsley that he would speak with hotel staff. Parsley said he didn't hear the officer and drove through the lobby.
Parsley is in jail without bail, CNN reported.
