Donald Trump, his son and daughter met with Indiana Gov. Mike Pence Wednesday, as speculation swirls over the choice for the running mate of the GOP presumptive nominee.
According to a story from ABC News, Trump was not supposed to stay in Indiana last night, but stayed in the state after some “technical issues” and met with Pence this morning. Trump had held a rally Tuesday night in the state.
Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, joined Trump and Pence at Pence's home, according to Trump’s campaign.
CNN is reporting that both Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich and Alabama Sen. Jeff Sessions are also on the way to Indiana.
Sources that have talked to media outlets on the condition of anonymity, say the short list has gotten shorter and now includes only Pence, Gingrich and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie.
Lt. Gen. Mike Flynn had been rumored to be part of the mix earlier in the week.
"It's a little bit like 'The Apprentice,'" Gingrich said in a Tuesday interview with Fox News Channel. "You find out sooner or later who the last one standing is."
Several reports say Trump will introduce the vice presidential pick on Friday. The Republican National Convention begins next Monday.
