Trump told ABC on Sunday that Lewandowski didn't touch the protester.
"I give him credit for having spirit," Trump told ABC. "He wanted them to take down those horrible profanity-laced signs."
Earlier this month, Lewandowski allegedly grabbed and violently pulled former Breitbart reporter Michelle Fields away from Trump. Lewandowski denied that claim, calling Fields an "attention seeker."

Fields has filed an assault charge against Lewandowski.
As of Sunday morning, Lewandowski was not facing any charges in connection with the alleged incident in Tucson.
