Deputies arrested an Indiana man who led authorities on a slow-speed pursuit while driving a farm tractor.
Dustin C. Clouse, 20, of North Decatur, Ind., was arrested following the chase Monday evening that started in Adams County and continued through Mercer County. Clouse struck several vehicles and rammed a police cruiser, according to a release.
According to WANE-TV, the chase started after police responded to a report of vandalism. When police approached, the man on the tractor drove away at an estimated 18 mph and refused to pull over.
The suspect also swerved around stop sticks in an attempt to strike a deputy, according to the release. The tractor eventually stopped due to mechanical problems on Burrville Road, just north of Strable Road. Deputies deployed a Taser on the suspect after he failed to respond to verbal commands to shut off and exit the tractor.
Facebook user Ashley Baumer caught the chase on video.
Clouse was taken to Mercer Health and then to Mercer County Adult Detention Facility on felony charges of fleeing and eluding.
