Just when you thought the Tough Mudder race couldn't get any more difficult, or any more mean, the sadistic creators behind the event came up with a new idea.

A tent full of tear gas.

The use of tear gas will accompany other tortures such as electric shocks, freezing water and rings of fire.

A man who tested what they are calling the "Cry Baby" course stated that the tear gas feels like, "having Sriracha poured into every one of our tiny cuts and abrasions."

"Cry Baby" joins other courses like "Everest" which has competitors scaling quarter pipe 15 feet high, running though 10,000 volt electric wires and jumping into 34 degree water.

In 2015, there will be over 50 Tough Mudder events all over the world, from New York to Australia.

If it's any consolation, though, the Downtown Brooklyn company that designs the grueling obstacles say that the active stinging ingredient that is in real tear gas is more benign in Tough Mudder's concoction.
