Just in case any Patriots fans needed any more of a push to be excited about Sunday's divisional round matchup against the Los Angeles Chargers, Tom Brady is here to help.
The Patriots quarterback took to social media Saturday to post a playoff hype video, featuring many of Boston's current sports stars.
Red Sox outfielder Mookie Betts, Celtics guard Jayson Tatum and Bruins defenseman Charlie McAvoy all make appearances in the video, helping Brady in reading lines from A New Refutation of Time by Jorge Luis Borges.
Brady and Betts open the video, with the Patriots quarterback saying, "Our destiny is not frightful by being unreal," and Betts replying, "It it frightful because it is irreversible and ironclad."
As Tatum reads, "Time is a river which sweeps me along," Brady replies with, "But I am the river."
When Tatum reads, "It is a tiger which destroys me," Brady replies, "But I am the tiger."
When McAvoy says, "It is a fire which consumes me," Brady ends the video by saying, "But I am the fire."
Brady posted the video with the caption "Into the fire..." matching the intensity set by the Patriots' Twitter account in trying to get Patriots fans pumped up for Sunday's playoff battle.
