Two adults are facing charges after a toddler was injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident Thursday afternoon in Uniontown, Pennsylvania.
According to state police, they received a call just after 2 p.m. that a man and woman were operating a quad with a small child on board near the Laurel Mall, in Dunbar Township.
When troopers responded, the adults attempted to flee on the quad. The 1 1/2-year-old boy was ejected from the quad when the adults struck a small ditch.
The boy was taken to a Pittsburgh hospital via medical helicopter as a precaution with a head injury.
Police said the man involved, 24-year-old Eric Ritenour, is the child’s father. It’s unclear if the woman, 25-year-old Krystal Hall, is the child’s mother.
According to state police, Ritenour and Hall were arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child, fleeing and eluding police, DUI and several other summary charges.
