One dog at Happy Tails Resort dog day care in Norfolk, Virginia, was camera shy when it came to recording its splashes in the pool.
The dog day care center offers boarding for dogs and recreational activities, including swimming.
In a video posted June 9 to the company's Facebook page, Beya, a Chesapeake Bay retriever, looks toward someone or something off camera rather than swimming around in the pool while her other doggie friends paddle and play in the pool with tennis balls.
"She'll hang out all day if we let her," receptionist Kayla Jones told Today. "She will swim around, do some laps but her comfort zone is where she's just hanging out. Every so often she might kick a paw out."
Beya isn't alone in her relaxed demeanor in the pool.
Odin, a German shorthaired pointer, can be seen to the left of Beya in another video posted Tuesday in a similar pose.
