1. Smith killed: Former New Orleans Saints defensive end Will Smith was shot and killed late Saturday  after exchanging words with a man who rear-ended his car. Smith and his wife had been out to dinner in the lower Garden District in New Orleans when Cardell Hayes slammed into Smith's car. According to witnesses, the two argued before Hayes pulled a gun and shot Smith several times. Hayes also shot Smith's wife, Rachel, twice in the leg. Smith died at the scene. His wife is expected to recover. Hayes has been booked on a charge of second-degree murder.

2. Sanders , Cruz win: Sen. Bernie Sanders won the Wyoming Democratic caucuses Saturday, taking his eighth victory out of the last nine votes. Sanders and Hillary Clinton will share the 14 candidates from Wyoming, after he won 56 percent of the vote to Clinton's 44 percent. Sen. Ted Cruz won all of the delegates -- 34 -- in the Colorado Republican contest.

3. Fireworks gone wrong: More than 100 people were killed Sunday when a fireworks display at a Hindu temple in southern India sparked a fire, trapping festival goers. The unauthorized pyrotechnic display gone wrong killed at least 102 people at the Puttingal temple complex in Paravoor. More than 300 were listed as injured.

4. Masters win: Danny Willett took the green jacket at the Masters Sunday as odds-on favorite Jordan Spieth's game fell apart.  Willett, who is from England, played a spectacular round at the famed golf tournament in Augusta, Ga. After Spieth blew a five-shot lead going into Sunday's round.

5. Kepler's missing: NASA engineers discovered late last week that its Kepler spacecraft – launched to hunt for exoplanets in the universe -- has slipped into "emergency mode." The craft is some 75 million miles from Earth. NASA says  it is working to find out what caused Kepler to go into "EM," but progress is slow. The space agency noted that Kepler is so far out in the universe that even at the speed of light it takes 13 minutes for a signal to travel to the spacecraft and back.

Jury selection is set to begin Monday in the trial of a man accused of intentionally leaving his toddler in a hot car to die. The murder trial for Justin Ross Harris begins Monday in Georgia as he faces charges of felony murder, cruelty to children and malice murder in the June 2014 death of his son, Cooper. Harris says he forgot the child was in the car as he went into work that day, leaving him strapped in his car seat.
