What to know now:

1. Obama in Vietnam: President Obama announced Monday that the United States would be lifting  a 50-year-old ban on selling weapons to Vietnam. Speaking in Vietnam some 40 years after the war between the two countries ended, Obama said,  "At this stage, both sides have established a level of trust and cooperation, including between our militaries, that is reflective of common interests and mutual respect," Obama said.

2. Mark Cuban as VP: He played one on TV, but is  billionaire Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban ready for the real thing? Cuban, interviewed on "Meet the Press," said Sunday he'd "absolutely" consider being a vice presidential running mate – for either Donald Trump or Hillary Clinton. Cuban, who played the president in the campy TV movie "Sharknadeo 3," says he believes Trump has a "real chance to win."

3. Menza dies: The former drummer of the band Megadeth collapsed on stage Saturday and later died. Nick Menza, 51, had played three songs of his set before he fell ill. It is believed he suffered a heart attack.

4. Verdict expected: A verdict is expected Monday in the trial of one of the Baltimore police officers charged in the death of Freddie Gray. Officer Edward Nero will hear his verdict from a judge, not a jury, after his trial for assault, misconduct in office and reckless endangerment. Gray died from spinal injuries in April 2015, a  week after he was left handcuffed and shackled, but not restrained by a seat belt, in the back of a police van.

5. Searching for Flight 804: Egyptian authorities say they have found more than 100 pieces of debris believed to be from EgyptAir Flight 804. On Monday, they launched a submarine to look for the plane  that disappeared over the Mediterranean Sea last week. Over the weekend, investigators said a system that monitors the workings of the airplane recorded that there was smoke detected  in a lavatory and in an area under the cockpit before  the plane crashed. The Airbus A320 was en route from Paris to Cairo with 66 people on board when it disappeared from radar.

Celine Dion, Kesha and Madonna all provided viral video moments with performances at the annual awards show. It was Dion's first TV  performance since the death of her husband, Rene Angelil, and her brother, Daniel Dion. Kesha,  whose sexual assault suit  against her record producer was recently dismissed, delivered an emotional cover of Bob Dylan's "It Ain't Me, Babe." Madonna paid tribute to Prince,  who died last month at age 57. She was joined by Stevie Wonder in a duet on "Purple Rain."
