Houng Nguyen, 43, was arrested and charged with felony theft by the San Antonio Police Department, KENS-TV reported.

According to an arrest affidavit, on Sunday, Nguyen switched the price tags on 35 bottles of wine at six different H-E-B stores in the San Antonio area last week, the San Antonio Express-News reported. According to court records, the full price of the wines was $4,036 but Nguyen only paid $170, KENS reported.

Nguyen was caught the next day when he attempted to go through a checkout lane with a switched bottle tag and was asked to show his identification, the Express-News reported. He exited the store but left his ID behind, which led police to him, KENS reported.
