Daniel Fleetwood had one dying wish, to see "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" before the end came.
Fleetwood and his wife were worried that the mega-fan wouldn't live long enough to see the Dec. 18 premiere, so his wife Ashley started a hashtag campaign #ForceForDaniel caught the attention of social media, KTRE reported.
"Force Awakens" director JJ Abrams called the Fleetwoods and on Nov. 5, Daniel was able to see a rough cut of the long-awaited film at his Texas home.
Tuesday, Ashley posted to Facebook that Daniel's fight was over. He died in his sleep.
Earlier in the night, Ashley had posted that Daniel had been moaning in pain, despite "four heavy-duty sedation shots."
