Just a prank or more? A video apparently recorded this week shows someone hanging onto the back of a Metrobus in Washington, D.C. as it drove through traffic.

The video was recorded Monday as Rasta Tahj drove on Benning Road NE, WRC reported.

He said he was driving home Monday afternoon when he noticed the person hanging on the bus standing on the bus' rear bumper. WRC reported.

Tahj said he was driving about 40 mph at the time.

"I was scared for him, I'm not going to lie," Tahj told WRC.

The daredevil was identified as a 15-year-old who was apparently tagged on the social media post by someone.

The teen's mother told WRC that the ride was "light-hearted," WRC reported.

But Metro officials disagree.

In a statement to WJLA and other media outlets, officials said,

“What we all witnessed in the video was not just unsafe, it was reckless. While we are thankful that this person was not injured or killed, those outcomes were very real possibilities.”
