Burchfield Elementary student lost their tooth during lunch on Tuesday, then misplaced it, according to a tweet from the assistant superintendent.

The teacher, Laura Roth, decided to write a letter to the Tooth Fairy for the student.

"I can confirm with full confidence and authority that Lily lost her tooth at school today," the letter reads. "In the excitement and chaos of lunch time, it was tragically thrown away by accident. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out to me at any time."
