A science teacher was arrested and jailed after allegedly delivering a profanity-laced tirade in front of his 8th grade class.
Police said Allen Andrews, 48, shouted at the middle school class last month.
Andrews went before Clayton County Magistrate Court Judge Beatriz Scott on Thursday.
Scott detailed accusations against Andrews, who was accused of shouting obscenities and threats in class while class was in session, with students present.
Andrews is accused of telling the class, “I don't need this **** every day. **** it. Want to talk **** to me every day? Think y'all ******* hard and tough? N-words ain't never seen blood, aint' see death. Mother-******, I’m real.”
Andrews allegedly walked out of class after erupting, and another teacher had to come in and restore order.
Police said a student videotaped the tirade, and Andrews was arrested and charged with disrupting the operation of a public school and disorderly conduct.
Officers did not say what set Andrews off.
The school superintendent will decide Andrews’s job status, but in the meantime he was ordered held on a $6,500 bond.
